We are seeking an agile and highly skilled expert in Protein Analytics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conducting and developing analytical methods and support the Protein Science team with E. coli production and purification of Athebody DARPins to drive our research and development projects.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Routinely plan, execute, optimize and develop analytical assays for quality testing and characterization of Athebodies and other proteins. Analyze, interpret and report data, summarize key messages, and present them to the team, management and external partners.
Produce, purify and modify Athebodies and proteins using established procedures in support of the Protein Science team.
Show a sense of urgency and uphold rigorous standards in experiments and ensure timely delivery to our partners.

What You Bring
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (no PhD) in life sciences with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience, or have completed an apprenticeship as a lab technician with at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- You are a skilled experimentalist with deep experience in protein analytics and standard biochemical methods. You have hands-on experience with analytical methods such as Liquid-Chromatography, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, BLI, SPR, CD/DSF/DSC, LC-MS and biochemical methods like protein conjugation/labeling. You have excellent competencies in evaluating, interpreting and reporting analytical data. Ideally, you have experience in developability assessment of biotherapeutic drug candidates.
- Knowledge of the discovery process for biotherapeutics.
- Ideally, you have hands-on experience in microbial (E. coli) production and protein purification by using standard methods like IMAC, SEC and HIC.
- Independently proposing, planning, and executing assays, with a strong focus on optimizing and developing analytical methods and workflows
- Result-driven, with a pragmatic working style and a strong team spirit, demonstrated through proactive communication
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
